چکیده

A photovoltaic-thermal (PV-T) hybrid collector evaporator was designed and developed to produce electrical energy extract thermal simultaneously from the panel using refrigerant circulated tubes. The absorbs heat photovoltaic panels during its phase change liquid vapour. PV-T evaporators deliver both electricity outputs. An R-32 refrigerant-based solar-assisted pump water heating system with a rated output of  4 kW tested performance for producing 150-200 litres hot at an average temperature 60oC. is selected because it does not have any ozone depletion potential (ODP), possess very low global warming (GWP). absorb 3.25 maintains below 30oC. PV 6 kWh, requirement 3.5 kWh. excess power 2.5 kWh has been supplied grid, coefficient (COP) 6.3. For life span 25 years, total equivalent impact analysis (TEWI) resulted in CO2 value 15,543 kg, which much lower than that conventional systems. economic performed reported, found be quite suitable domestic applications also economically feasible payback period years. Keywords: Solar Collectors, VFD Compressor, Domestic Water Heating.

Model Predictive Control of Heat Pump Water Heaters for Energy Efficiency

Water heating accounts for 17.7% of total residential energy use in the United States and is the second largest end use after space heating and cooling. There is great potential to improve the energy efficiency of residential water heaters and reduce their energy use in new and existing homes. Previous efforts primarily focused on improving the insulation and combustion efficiency of water heat...

A Pv/t and Heat Pump Based Trigeneration System Model for Residential Applications

A solar trigeneration system, based on photovoltaic-thermal (PV/T) collectors, photovoltaic (PV) modules and a heat pump unit for heating and cooling, is modelled to forecast the thermal and electric yields of the system. The aim of the trigeneration system is to provide enough electricity, domestic hot water (DHW), heating and cooling power to meet the typical demand of an urban single family ...

Economic optimization and comparative study of solar heat pumps

In this paper, an economic study of solar heat pumps and an investigation of differences between solar heat pumps and conventional heat pumps—based on their performances and energy consumption—are conducted for a residential apartment located in Austin, Texas, USA. Heating in the apartment is provided via a solar heat pump during the cold months of a year. Solar collectors are used to meet the ...

Operating Characteristics of a Photovoltaic/Thermal Integrated Heat Pump System

Hybrid photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T) collector, combining photovoltaic cells with a solar thermal collector, can simultaneously convert solar energy into electricity and heat energy. In this paper, a novel photovoltaic/thermal integrated heat pump (PV/T-HP) system was developed, in which the PV/T collector also acted as evaporator of heat pump. Two types of PV/T collectors with conventional coppe...
